Lucia Ndishishi

A final year Bachelor of Laws (LLB) student at the University of Namibia (UNAM), Ms. Lucia Ndishishi is a visionary leader who has served in various roles, including on the Student Representative Council (SRC) of UNAM as, first, the Secretary for External Affairs and, then, the President of all SRC bodies across UNAM’s 12 campuses.

During her tenure at the UNAM SRC, she led the confrontation of prevailing student issues and oversaw the implementation of new student-led initiatives such as the Examination Support Campaign and the Student Humanitarian Fund.

In November 2021, Ms. Ndishishi became the Chairperson of the Namibian division of the SheLeads organisation; a position for which she remains the incumbent. In the same year, she was appointed as the acting Chairperson of NANSO’s Khomas Regional Executive Committee (KREC).

Ms. Ndishishi is passionate about youth development, and during her tenure, she strives to leverage the power of strategic socio-political relations to lead and facilitate programmes and initiatives that propel the socioeconomic positions of young people in Namibia, especially women and girls.
